Meet Our Team

It all began during quarantine 2020 (a lot of time to dream and plan!)

Husband and wife team, Brady (commercial scallop captain) and Amanda (wine sales rep) started selling scallops and shrimp after friends/family couldn't find fresh seafood locally (all fish markets were closed because of the pandemic).

It started out of the back of our pick up truck in the local Acme parking lot —a pick up location for our very first customers. We began with the 10lb bulk bag during the pandemic because it meant less customers coming face to face with us. And now the bulk 10lb bags have stuck! Fast forward and we have hosted seafood pop-ups at various locations in Cape May and Atlantic County, NJ. Huge thanks to Hawk Haven Winery, Nauti Spirits Distillery and Reed’s Farms for your support!

Fun Fact: Brady has been a commercial scalloper since 1999. WHAT! And he has been a captain for the last 13 years. He dedication to top quality product is unmatched!

In 2021, we purchased a 42ft Wesmac hook and line fishing vessel. We offer fresh off the boat fish to our customers (when Brady isn’t scalloping) and it has been a true passion project restoring the 20 year old boat. Our hope is to expand the business with the F/V SALTED in the future.

In 2023, we signed the lease to our first brick and mortar!!! AHH!!! Scallop Shack Farms “The Market” is officially open for business with very limited hours (Saturdays for now). Because this is still our side hustle… stop by to check us out in the Cape May County Airport Complex.

It has been an incredible experience so far sharing our love of the ocean and seafood with you. We are excited to see where this adventure takes us next. Thanks for following along!
