How do I order the 10lbs bulk bag of fresh scallops from Scallop Shack Farms?

Step 2: Watch your inbox for our email blast
Step 3: Follow the directions in our email blast and fill out our super easy pre-order form.
Step 4: Wait for your confirmation email (typically sent at the end of the pre-sale day)
Step 5: Pick up your fresh Atlantic sea scallops at our designated location on pick-up day!
Step 6: Devour. YAY!
When do you have your bulk scallop sales?
We have bulk scallop sales (hopefully) 1X per month based on market available and when Brady is home from scalloping. We are a two person team!
Do you accept credit cards?
We do not currently accept credit cards for our BULK Scallop sales and Farmers Market Pop-Ups. Cash or Venmo Only.
We DO accept credit cards for all other fresh/frozen fish sales in our brick and mortar shop and in our online merchandise shop! (Unless otherwise specified)
Do you have a brick and mortar?
Yes!! We opened our first brick and mortar in the Cape May Country Airport Complex next to the Cape May Brewing Co. Tasting Room. The hours currently are still limited (we are a two person team and still have full time jobs!) Check our home page for weekly hours. We always have freshly frozen scallops available for purchase in our market (1lb increments). We started offering freshly frozen scallops to hold people over until our next bulk fresh sale! The 1lb increments are perfect for those who do not want a full 10lb bag from our fresh bulk sales.
What is freshly frozen seafood?
Our founding principle is to offer our customers the most fresh, best quality scallops available (and other seafood). To honor this principle, we freeze our scallops the day that the fishing vessel lands them. This ensures that you get the best quality scallops at all times. Scallops freeze super well, once defrosted it’s like they were never even frozen (we eat frozen scallops most of the time). We call this Freshly Frozen because they taste like fresh scallops every time!
What types of seafood do you sell?
Our pride and joy is the Atlantic Sea Scallop and what makes us stand apart. We also offer other fishes (fresh and frozen) on a rotating chalkboard menu depending on what is available at the time of year. Make sure to sign up for our email list to stay up to date!
Do you deliver?
Currently, we offer pick-up only at our brick and mortar location in the Cape May County Airport Complex. Pick up times are disclosed in the email we send for the pre-orders. For larger orders (100lbs+), please inquire about delivery.
How many days can I keep fresh scallops in the fridge?
Our fresh scallops are best enjoyed the day of/ day after you pick them up! Break them into meal size portions as soon as possible and freeze the scallops that you are not going to eat fresh. Always best to freeze the product as soon as possible! Freeze at the peak of FRESHNESS =).
How long do your freshly frozen scallops last in the freezer?
We say 6 months, but our customers eat them too fast to make it that long in the freezer.
What is the cost per pound?
The cost per pound is based on market price. We purchase from local boats and the daily seafood auction is what determines our pricing. We are able to keep our prices low as we purchase locally and buy in bulk!
Can I purchase on the day of a fresh fish sale?
You cannot purchase on the day of a sale unless we tell you otherwise through our emails. All bulk scallop and fresh fish orders are PRE-ORDERED through the form we send to our email subscribers only. All orders must be pre-ordered VIA email. (IE. You cannot show up to our pick up location on the day of a sale and be able to purchase fresh seafood). We recently opened our first brick and mortar market in the Cape May County Airport Complex. Scallops are always available freshly frozen at the market in 1lb increments. Check our home page for weekly hours.
Can you freeze scallops?
Yes! Scallops freeze super well! We like to break them into meal size portions (zip lock baggies) and pull them out of the freezer as needed. This is the main reason why we started our freshly frozen market.
